After reading way too much info on this forum here's my prediction:
not all FE will be 2021

There is a chart on a different thread that says FE not yet scheduled "Likely 2021". That word likely is one hint.

Mike Levine said recently on Twitter that the "goal" was to make all FE 2021.

Unscheduled FE need to wait for all the other hardtops on delivered units and famous lot units to be built before scheduling. Ford has said the new hardtop is available for the first customers (those that already have a bad MIC) by October. That's another goal and could mean Oct 31st, but looking at all the past deadlines it's more realistic to think they won't be ready by Oct. That's a lot of things that have to go perfectly for all FE to be built before the 2022 production starts. Now I suppose they could still run MAP until late Dec or Jan for the final FE builds and call them 2021. That also seems unlikely. We'll see....
I can’t believe I’m sticking up for them but I think they’ll build the remaining first editions. I think it was 5000 or less they had ordered.

For those FEs built and sitting at MAP, what’s everyone going to do? Wait it out, buy a 2021 right before 2022 starts getting built, and hope sitting outside had no detrimental effects? Buy it and flip it while still extremely rare?

I would love the option to pass on the FE and put me in line for 2022 based on original time stamp. Seems like a reasonable request.

Yes. 7/16 blend.
Dam, I was gonna suggest seeing if you could switch. It surely is a shitty situation. They should ship the FEs out and replace the tops at the dealer when they come in. They’ll say I’d they do it for one they have to do it for all. I wouldn’t worry about “lot rot” but mice would worry me. I actually work/worked at multiple assembly plants(not for ford). If the cars/trucks would sit out to long mice would get in and eat the wiring harnesses. I’ve seen completed brand new cars get sent to the scrap yard to be crushed.

There is nothing that says a MY21 has to be built in calendar year 21. Just like it’s common to start a new MY late in the previous year, they could carry MY21 into 22 if they wanted. I don’t think that will be necessary though, if the top timeline works out as currently forecast.

There are ~2500 FE left to be scheduled. Not sure how many scheduled are left waiting to be built, but let’s put that at 1,000. (Last VIN dump for FE was 1,250.)

Using current full production rates they could run 3,500 FE in 3 weeks. This is accounting for the 40% max that squatch can run down the line, so this is assuming they would dedicate every squatch to FE.

600 Broncos per day * .4 = 240 FE per day
3500 could be done in 3 weeks

If they cut into Ranger production and focus the 900 units a day on only Bronco, then they could be built as fast as 2 weeks. Not sure if this is feasible or possible.

They can easily build the remaining FE in November, but it all depends how quickly the new top is ready and certified. I’m mildly optimistic, but cannot be surprised if this doesn’t work out.

That's what I thought up until yesterday. There is a subtle language change and if the past is any indication of the future with this launch things won't go perfectly. I hope I'm wrong. I think I'll be in the next round of new FE to be scheduled so I think I might make it, but I'm guessing not every FE will make it.

I’m with you on their terminology. If they’re gonna fuck us then we should be allowed to get into a badlands/wildtrak and get it now. I’ve been sitting at PC 1 since July 8th. I tried to change from RR to LB and my dealer was locked out of editing my order.

I'd be shocked if I got my 2-door FE before December 31st at this point.

I'm also not going to be an ungrateful little bitch about any outcome.

Do you have any idea what the float is?

No, no idea. I think the drummer said 2200.
That’s not bad at all. They can pound them out quickly a week or less probably. My thought/hope is they’re over estimating the time it takes to get the new top up and running. I’m sure they’ll be working 24/7 to fix it.

Ya just looked it up, the drummer said 2,200 in the cage and a few hundred delivered. They have about 2,500 tops to replace.
