Yeah, it definitely looks like the early Escapes too. Fortunately, I have some years before I have a teen driver, but I'm asked by a lot of family and friends about it and teen driver suitability.

Thank you and @Mojo for the feedback.
I got mine while waiting on the full size. The plan was to sell it once the full size came in and keep the 2006 Escape as my beater. Turns out the Badlands Sport make a pretty darn good beater even if it doesn't have a manual transmission like the 2006 Escape. It's a great vehicle in the snow and allows the full size to take the winter off (salt).

One of the fishing guides I work with has a Bronco Sport and we do a lot of river shuttles together. Awesome vehicle. Ford hit a home run with the Bronco, and I would say the Bronco Sport is equally a home run by Ford.

A lot of folks on these forums bash them, since they have the Bronco branding. They aren't bad vehicles at all, but yeah, they aren't even remotely the same classification of vehicle as the full sized Bronco. Had they rebranded it back to the Escape and pitched it as a mini-Explorer or something, I bet it would have done a whole lot better.

Not that it's doing poorly, but trying to couch it as a mini-Bronco was a marketing mistake in my opinion. If you pitch it as a Outback/Forester/RAV4 contender, it lines right up there and competes very well there. I do get trying to share with the outdoor/free spirit vibe that Bronco has going for it, but the Sport just isn't that. I'm honestly shocked we have the "full sized" based on the Ranger frame, and we don't have another F150 derivative on the Bronco branding.

About the only thing is really shares with the big Bronco apart from the word on the grill is the use of the GOAT trademark for the various modes, and a lot of easter eggs throughout the trim.

Congrats! I came from a bronco sport as well, granted I’d drive mine on the trails like it was a big bronco and when I traded it in the general manager said “did you drive this thing off a cliff?” 😂

LOL.

Bottom line = Ford sells far more Bronco Sports than they do Broncos.

The combined Bronco Sport/Escape/Lincoln Corsair outsells the Bronco by over 3 to 1.

Bronco owners who are upset over the name “Bronco Sport” need to grow up and get a life.

First trip in the Bronco this past weekend. Drove a combination of city, highway and interstate.

Highway i was at 63mph and interstate i was at 78mph.

Honestly no issues. Is it louder inside then my F150? Yes, but i could still have a normal conversation and here the music fine.

For anyone that has traded in a bronco with a hardtop because of to much noise, must have very sensitive hearing.

I was also surprised how well it rode, and how much more comfortable it was than the sport.

My only complaint so far is the previous owner lived on a farm. Now when you first get in and the air comes out the vents it stinks like farm.
