You can’t apply this type of logic to these two vehicles since FE is a limited availability and not available to everyone or ever again. Some people want the FE so they can prove they were there first and always a 6g Bronco fan from the very beginning.

This is akin to comparing super bowl tickets to pre-season tickets and concluding that you’re paying more just to see the people on the field wear different colors.
IF I was that kind of guy, for $2,645 I'd lie and tell people it's a de-badged First Edition. Unless they are EXTREMELY knowledgeable they literally won't be able to tell the difference.

Same exterior
Same equipment
Same interior

Your analogy doesn't hold up. If the two teams played a playoff game in a stadium and those same two teams played the Super Bowl in the same stadium then it's close to being like this.

So with the updates to the B&P tool I redid my 2 candidate builds:

4 Dr Badlands
Cyber Orange
Dual Roof - Mod & Soft
2.7L & 10 Speed
Lux & Black Leather
Sasquatch
Towing
Floor Liners
Storage Bags - Doors & Roof

$63,545

4 Dr First Edition
Cyber Orange
Dual Roof - Mod & Soft
Black Leather

$66,190

Which leaves me with what appear to be two identical vehicles that differ in only two aspects:

- The Badlands has Towing instead of a Brush Guard (which I prefer)
- The FE includes graphics that I don't particularly care for

My only conclusion is that the FE graphics cost $2,645. What am I missing?

I believe that the Black Grille and Black Mirror caps are not available on the Badlands. Which is one of the reasons I am buying the FE. There have been some who say this is part of the Shadow Black Modular Top option; however I don't believe that to be true.

The dash material is different between trims currently. Obviously we don't know for sure what they are going to do with the Black Interior will it be a solid black or gray/black. I would count on Blue stitching to match the FE side badge or it could be gray, probably not orange. Either way the three grab handles are different.

Don't forget Lightning Blue option/Navy Pier options both are not available on Badlands..

You’re paying for exclusivity. It’s as simple as that. If you are looking for something of value, and exclusivity isn’t valuable to you, then the FE probably isn’t the right choice for you.

It isn’t about options or features anything extra. It’s literally as simple as having the FIRST EDITION.

Carpet vs Wash out interior
More Money for a "luxury" vs an actual feature with functionality

Which is why my FE reservation will be a BL order.

I was surprised to hear this yesterday, but here it is under the BL information page:

Sound deadening headliner is another FE feature that you can't get on a 4-door BL

So what is “Late 2021”?.... are we just talking three months behind first delivery now. That’s not too long to wait for something we all wanted in the first place. Here is a better question, if you select the shadow black modular hard top could you end up with a MY22? ( I am a Jul 14th res. For a 4-Door Wildtrak).

You're the millionth person to have these questions, and the millionth person to be told "we don't know."

I agree with ZackDanger.

As a FE res holder I would assume we would be able to secure a Black Mod Top in 2021. Same for early WIldtrack res holders based on the email communication on the change from Black Mod Top to MIC top that FE and Wildtrack res holders received.

Delivery will all come down to parts availability for your build and your place in line and could be pushed into 2022 as a MY21.
