I can't seem to find the specifics or a of the stock springs- I know that there are many different options though.

I am trying to get through my analysis paralysis- I need to at least level my ride back out from all my mods.

I don't want to do full coil overs-

I am looking OME springs or Bilstein springs on the following

stock SAS shocks
OME shocks
Bilstein 6100s

I know I am over thinking this, it's just what I do. My preference is the ARB heavy springs on the Bilsteins for the front and the OME medium springs on the Bilstein rears

I need to check compatibility of the OME springs, ARB says they are "different"

probably take my SAS shocks apart to see what the difference is.

I have been looking for this info with no luck. If I can get ahold of the stock springs I have the ability to measure the strength.

Can I send you my FE SAS spring in the name of science?

Can you get me some measurements from the spring? I need the I.D. (inside diameter) O.D. (outside diameter), the wire diameter, the overall length, and the number of coils. With those I should be able to determine the spring strength.

I would think the actual grade and treatment of the steel used for the spring would be a significant factor. It would probably be more accurate to just load the springs. Have 2 big friends stand on the spring and measure the displacement.

Automotive springs have a pretty standard material and heat treat. With the requested dimensions I can get very close on the spring rate. Worst case they can ship it to me and I will put it on the compression testing equipment.

That makes a lot of sense, I didn't really consider that. I'll just follow to eventually see some results.

@Silver-Bolt Did you ever get an estimated or tested spring rate from the FE Sas Springs? I've got a BL Sas with Steel bumpers so I'm assuming I have the same springs.

I haven't received any springs to test. Still willing to do it, just need the springs and vehicle specs.

I have no real interest in lifting my bronco, but I also would like to get back the 1" I lost from adding all my armor (and the harsher ride).

Not sure if some better springs would do it, or have to go coilovers.
