Haven’t done a Ford performance tune and with all honesty I’m not sure what I need/what to do. Any help guiding me through that would be appreciated
You just need to purchase the programmer from an authorized dealer, I got mine from CJ Pony Parts, but a lot of others sell them too. Make sure to purchase the correct one. There's one for the 2.3 and one for the 2.7, follow the provided instructions and you're good to go. It's actually a really simple process. If you have any questions, there is a contact for Ford Hotline engineering to guide you. Definitely makes the vehicle more fun to drive!

Well, just because in Sport the transmission has a more aggressive shift strategy both up and down.
I always drive in sport and sometimes it just really doesn't want to downshift. Just give your brain time to adjust to how the vehicle shifts and I don't think you'll notice it as much.

How would I know if previous owner did the tune or not?

Silly question but there the 2.7l version and the “procal 4” version. I’m assuming the procal 4 is for the 2.3?

ProCal4 is just the name of the device. There are two different part numbers that are sold, one ends in 23 for the 2.3 and the other ends in 27 for the 2.7

I just bought a new 2024 Big Bend 2.3 Bronco and I've been experiencing a low speed/low RPM engine surge when coming to a stop. Happens cold or warm, sometimes worse than others. I noticed it after installing a Corsa cat back dual rear exit exhaust system. Prior to that I installed a Corsa catch can and cold air intake. I didn't notice it until after the exhaust was installed. Maybe it was there the whole time but I just couldn't hear it because the exhaust was so quiet? The vehicle doesn't lurch or anything like that, but the RPM will fluctuate only when braking such as coming to a stop. Just wondering if any of the aftermarket parts have caused this for any of you? No codes or check engine light, just annoying. Thanks for any input.

Appreciated but not necessary, the ProCal4 tune took care of it. Runs like a champ! Your engineers did a great job on that tune!
