Hey, Just installed a new rear bumper with parking sensors. All seemed fine, no issues and put them in the same locations.

I have a parking assist fault. Do they need to be re-calibrated since the sensors are seeing things differently? Or is it something else that I'm missing?

Fyi, I did not wire up the license plate light yet, it's still unplugged. Hmmm....

If anyone has a wire diagram of the circuit for the license plate connector that would be great. The plug has 3 wires, the new light has 2 wires. Thinking the 3rd wire would tell me my plate light is out. IDK...

What should i do with the extra wire? Can I tie it in with the hot wire or terminate it?

Thanks,

Hey,

I installed the DV8 FS-15 onto my Braptor (which ultimately has lux package) and had to use the full "LPBR-03" license plate bracket that puts it on the door versus just relocating it to the left. You didn't specify the model you had but I'd guess they are all the same.

I did not have to do any recalibrations on the parking assist sensors and placed them all in the same way as unplugged from the OEM bumper. Both connectors on each side were put into the harness without any oddities.

That said, my install completely matched their instructions from the FS-15 Bumper & LPBR-03 pdf they have on the dv8 site. DV8 Bracket

The bracket that came with the FS-15 bumper had the same light as the LPBR-03 as well.

No faults, lights work, all sensors work.

Is it possible any of your wiring around the sensors is damaged or a sensor itself? Or maybe you put the harness in backwards? Unsure the wiring on that but someone somewhere said to make sure to put it back in the same way.

Hey, thanks for the response. Did the factory license plate light connector only 2 wires? I just may have a connector fully seated.

I installed, call it a pre-fit... The WT is going to the shop for new fenders AFC 8/1".
I'm pulling some of the stuff (flares, wheel liners, rear bumper) off to help with the fit test, sand / paint, and install.

Great choice of bumper!!! I did the same but may change the plate setup. With the new fenders the poke may work, just will have to see...

I honestly cannot remember what the wiring looked like other then that was a very easy part as compared to making it fit in other ways on the raptor. I want to say it was two wires but I'll check after work if I can remember.

Putting the plate on the tailgate was the option dv8 said I had to do. I kind of like it there but occasionally hit myself opening or closing the door because I forget it's there. Was to used to my badlands and got in the habit of where to stand when closing it.

I like that plate position better and it's my plan B. I was wonding, do you think it's possible to flip the bracket and put it on the passenger side?

Sensor issue.... took it for a drive, think the issue is a left side connection or position. My left mirror warning kept going off.

Will not fit on passenger side for sure. Bracket sticks past the door and would hit the light opening it and is designed one way on driver side 100%. 0 chance.

Good luck on sensors!

Hey there!
Our tech mentioned there is no need for recalibration of the sensors, we have run across this once and found if the sensors are not “ clicked” all the way in then it creates a bad connection, you should double check all connectors.

For the license plate connector it only has two wires if it has three wires then it is a sensor plug you have the same connector which is hard to distinguish between the two and almost did it ourselves. Maybe that is why you're having a sensor issue, you don’t have the right connectors together and that is why you're getting a sensor code.

If this doesn't help please let us know and I can have the tech reach out to you over the phone or email to help you out with this!

Thanks,
Rebeca

I had to ditch the ridiculous factory plug for the bumper harness. It wouldn't seat and when it did the connection was bad. Terrible design for something that sees mud. I just hard wired it with heat-shrink butt connectors for now. I'll probably go to like an 8-pin M12 connector at some point.

That's FUNNY!!!! Yep, when I prefit the bumper that's what I did. The sensor plug and tail light plug are the same minus the extra wire. LOL... I should have update this post - issue resolved.

Thanks for your response, Quality Parts & Service and calling me out on Dumb Sh_t... LOL, good stuff.... :ROFLMAO:

New AFC 8/1 " fenders going on this week! Will post when finished showing off all the DV8 parts!
