Awesome! What country were you driving in these videos? I got a 80-series Land Cruiser mired in a wet salt pan out near Rafha, Saudi Arabia. Learned a lot about desert driving in Saudi.
This was in the UAE. Theres a group out here called UAE Offroaders that arrange these drives depending in your level and experience. its cool because there are a variety of marshalls and you use this app to see any upcoming rides. Driving in the desert is something haha

That looks great! So much fun going out. I haven't done any dunes, but this makes me wonder if I should.
With a group and all the right recovery gear, its such a fun experience to try out.

Did I just see an "Almost 4x4" orange flag? Is that the group you were with?
They were there as well or a few members of that club. Its such an open area that you bump into so many different clubs and cars. at one point there were buggy's and quad bikes too. i was with the UAE offroaders group.

Took my Bronco up some narly dunes today in the Arabian desert. Really pushed it and ive got a 2 dr OBX (badged as Wildtrak here in the Middle East). No better feeling like finding out what your car can do.

Honestly, the HOSS 1.0 did not fail me and this time we really drove hard. Would love to hear stories on here of other people dune bashing as well and their overall experience with their Broncos!

Oh and i will say, the Bronco (not me), really stole the show with everyone wanting to see what it could do.

Having been driving my F350 in places I shouldn't for the last 22 years made me very leery of sand. The Bronco's performance on some Southern Nevada dunes was pure magic, but I'd assumed this was due to descent moisture content in the sand due to a wet winter. Apparently, the Bronco doesn't care.

100% having driven a couple of Jeeps on sand i was very impressed with how the Bronco did. As was everyone else!

It was awesome. The Land cruisers and Patrols just glide over the sand its amazing. We were literally talking about how crazy some of those cars were being pushed, no beadlocks or anything and they just float lol.

So its interesting because the 4 door comes as a true Wildtrak. (35 inch tires, Hoss 3.0, etc). The 2 door is badged as a Wildtrak but is essentially an Outer Banks. So, comes with 32 inch tires, Hoss 1.0, no rear diff lock, and no 4A mode. But otherwise is fully loaded from the inside with the leather seats, large screen, heated seats etc. i got bigger tires ( 33inch) to give it some presence.

Its also got the 2.7 v6, forgot to add. But now for 2024, Ford Middle East changed that and the 2 door comes as a true Wildtrak. Mine is a 22 model that i got pre-owned with like 1000 miles on it as the previous owner didnt like the "rough ride".

loved the car before, but after hitting the dunes the way we did, and seeing how capable it was, love it even more.
Really nice color!

Have you changed the wheels/tires? Those donā€™t look like the 265s that come standard on Wildtrack in UAE.

They look good!

Any rubbing while turning or off-roading?

Would you know if the stock wheels would take 285 or itā€™s a must to change the wheels too?

I was always concerned the local Ford agency might cancel the warranty for these simple mods when it goes for routine service, but it seems everyone is going for bigger wheels and/or lift regardless!

Thanks

No rubbing because i removed the crash bars.

The stock wheels wouldnt take the bigger tires so i got new wheels as well. mine are non-beadlock and i air down to 12-13 PSI no issues, Eventually i will go for the beadlocks (although been exploring beadgrips too) but thats a topic for later.

in terms of warranty, nah youll be fine. when they saw my car at my first service the guys were super chill. kind of a dont ask dont dont tell policy.

BTW, you should totally join the UAE Bronco club Whatsapp group. Bunch of really cool people with loads of knowledge and always planning rides.

Cant figure out if theres a private message function on here, but no issues, add me on Instagram: k_dagher and we can figure that out.

Thank you for the kind reply

Iā€™m thinking to get 275, perhaps I can manage without changing the stock wheels as itā€™s only 1 size plus.

I will add you on Instagram and hope to join some of the drives šŸ˜Š
