IMO, if you’re going off road, get some type of brace. I recommend Hammerbuilt. Everything and anything flexes off road, including the tail gate. If you’re a mall crawler type, not really needed.

I just put the hammer built brace on this weekend and am pretty dang happy with the quality. My dad has the rough country one and the difference is night and day.

I got this one so I can get some additional storage on the rear and can keep either water or traction boards out of the interior.

Works great for lug nuts/bolts, brake caliper bolts, exhaust bolts, etc.
