One other follow up on this thread. Once you are done the install, head over to the Hard top squeaking - gasket lubricant? thread and get yourself some Krytox Gasket Lube (~$25, 0.5 oz will do fine). Clean all gaskets really well (Armor All Multi-purpose Cleaner worked well for me), and lubricate them with this lubricant, clean/lube the rubber door stops, I'd also suggest lubricating all strut ball joints as the two for the window struts will no longer have their factory lubricant.

I had some nasty squeaks after my install and this fixed them all.

Also, if folks are curious what the rear window part (M2DZ7842006A) looks like, here it is:

As you can see it comes with the hinge hardware attached, wiper motor bracket, as well as the lower brace.

Great thread here, I am thinking of replacing my tinted with non-tint - anyone know what the going rate is for the MIC side glass on the 2 door?

by any chance, does anyone know if the quarter glass gaskets are recoverable when replacing the glass, or do you need to order new ones? Someone told me they get destroyed when taking the glass out, which does make some sense, just figured I'd check here - thanks

I should mention that the manual linked above doesn't mention the gasket when discussing install, but maybe they presume that you have ordered a new one?

RichWpg, when you installed your rear glass, is there any horizontal adjustment possible? I noticed the driver side bolt hole on the hinge is slotted but the one on the passenger side hinge is not. The rear glass on my hard top is not centered and does not allow the glass to shut flush with the hard top on the driver side. The glass is rubbing the hard top. I was hoping this was adjustable.

My passenger side rear window strut separated from the glass. They are having to order a new rear window.

Nope, there was no adhesive, just maybe some grease of some sort. I could never identify what it was.

Interesting... one of my rear glass defogger fell off. Dealer went ahead replaced the entire glass for me. I would assume the new glass has those two defoggers pre-attached but it doesn't seems to be.

Ok, so far so good, but I can’t seem to liberate the wiper arm from the motor assembly. Took the cover off, removed the bolt underneath, but arm won’t budge.

Anyone have any guidance here?

Update: It comes off straight off, you just need to wiggle it out a bit.
