I received my letter from Ford this morning that I need to make the order change or the odds are I will not get a MY23. The thing that bothers me most is if you don't make any changes and don't get a MY23 your order will be cancelled. You start all over in MY24. No mention that they will give you a priority in MY24, just too bad...so sad. I called the Bronco number to register a complaint under my order. That they need to give the cancelled MY23 a priority in MY24. I ask all the other folks on this forum to do the same. The odds are it will fall on deaf ears, but I still believe there is strength in numbers.

I imagine 99% of people with orders arent on this forum. Most people dont subscribe to forums. Just like most people only come to forums to complain. Sorry this happened to you.

I agree, this from a member who received a bronco and has another one with 2 out of the 3 constraints currently “in production,” this one was ordered 2 years ago FYI and has PP. The other was a raptor.

It’s a shit move by Ford to take away PP, everyone waiting has shown loyalty and trust. Ford should do the same.

Edit:
I should add, Ford was moving in the right direction and I think everyone here would agree that Ford did the right thing when it opened 23 ordering up to only existing order holders and giving PP...I get that items are constrained and Ford has to do something, giving a rebate is fair, but taking away PP to people who have waited 400, 600 plus days is just wrong I feel. It’s basically a punishment for people who do not remove the constrained items. As I have stated before Ford has no incentive at all to build any 21/22 order that was converted.

I would love to have sat in on that Ford Board Meeting when they decided to make this change. I waited 480 for our Wildtrak and made NO changes when it came to what we wanted. So we waited and waited. If after 480 days Ford would have told me that I had to UN-Order my order then I would have been pissed. How many of those effected are in the tripple digits for days already waited?

Absolutely trash move by Ford. I am so lucky to have gotten my VIN a few weeks ago because I have almost every constraint on my order. I did not get price protection because Ford screwed up and even though it shows through my dealer that ford approved my order, they didn't actually put it into the system. It was only caught once I went to convert to a MY23 and they had to completely re enter my order. They wouldn't give me price protection even though it was their screw up. So I sort of feel your pain, but this situation is much worse.

you never know what 2024 holds. It might be all they can do to get someone to buy a car by then. Clearly there are signs now the market is not what it was a year ago. As things slow down it usually snowballs. Might end up getting a 2024 cheaper than price protection.

Well the good part is I have my Jeep, so I can still take my off road trips, and I didn't buy any accessories ahead of time for the Bronco. When I called the Bronco support number today I asked for my vehicle status. They told me no VIN, the kicker...there are no constraints. Go figure!

I hate to say it, but, if ford doesn’t straighten out the Bronco fiasco they are going to end up selling a lot of jeeps.

Our Jeep is an 09, but in great shape and low miles. It will last me another 5-7 years. I liked the new tech on the Bronco so that's why I placed an order. I hope the kill switch is a ways out or I may have the Jeep until the doors fall off.

I realize I'm late to your post, but there may be hope if you decide to stick with your order as it is. I placed my order two years ago and received the Dear John letter too. I decided I would either get what I ordered or let them cancel it in September. Just a few days ago I got a surprise email with a VIN and build week in March. I realize there are many factors at play, but I have a feeling that enough people will change their orders as the email recommended and then constrained items will become available to build at least a good number of Broncos for those who elect not to change. At any rate, I think you should wait until right before the March 7 deadline before deciding. You might get lucky like me.

William thanks for the nice response. I've already made up my mind. I'm not going to change my order. If I wanted something I didn't want I would buy a Jeep. Enjoy your truck.
