This, I posted a thread about some dealerships in Arizona that got fined by the state for pulling shady sh!t.

Obviously though states have different rules and regs regarding dealerships, I live in Georgia but have no idea what they are.

Man this sucks and I feel sorry for the OP. I've read multiple people post good experiences from Akins. WTF happened?

edit: do we have the whole story? it started with OP stating the owner is taking the bronco. Later he says he was offered $3100 and could place another order. OP said he declined the other order. What about the $3100 to walk away? What was the deal if you didn't accept the offer? Maybe this wasn't a stolen bronco story, but simply a dealer that offered to buy them out?

I take it as OP had a order and was told the owner of the dealership was taking it. Then offered him $3100 and to place another order, which can’t be done right now.

If this is legit the offer of $3100 is laughable. And telling OP they’ll order another one when that can’t be done is shady.

So they are basically stealing your order from you so they can sell it themselves? You need to go beyond Ford Customer Servce and try to go straight to the CEO Farley. Set their phone lines at HQ on fire.

Wtf...Ford dealers are the reason I’ll stop buying Fords. We only deal with a dealer that’s 3 hours away from us and we live south of ATL in metro area. So we have plenty to pick from and over the years I’ve tried, but they’re just fu@king awful. Granted last car we purchased from our current dealer was in 2019 so things may have changed but we currently have base sas and raptor ordered with them (not OP’s dealer).

And Ford won’t do sh!t because Akins Ford is a huge volume dealer.

It's not just Fords. The auto industry is plagued with bad actors. There are still some good ones but we always need to protect ourselves with contracts.

I agree, but going to most dealerships is torture. Like what takes so f’ing long? Dealership we use does everything over the phone and through text. When a deal is agreed upon they print everything out and have it ready when we arrive, in and out in 15 minutes.

Because an attorney wouldn't do anything.

It wasn't his vehicle. He has absolutely no legal claim to the vehicle without a deposit and signed order.
