My local dealer (Southeast Texas) just told me their ADM is $5K on the Sport and $15K on the Bronco. Looks like I'm finding a new local dealer.
can you share which dealer this was? I'm also in Houston and reserved with Russell & Smith but haven't talked to them yet, I will tomorrow

"Congrats on getting the order in on time to reserve the First Edition – we’ve had a lot of calls this morning from customers asking how they can reserve one now that they show sold out. Ford has not disclosed yet whether there will be X Plan pricing available on the Bronco, but due to the unprecedented demand and the extremely limited production of the First Edition we would not be able to honor an X Plan price on this model even if they had it. We are planning on marking up the First Edition over MSRP, as it will be one of only 3500 made and each dealer will be lucky to get 1 or 2 in total."
The heck they think they're selling? Limited Edition Ferraris?

Super helpful!

Just realized my company also has the trade partner code. I never knew about x-pricing.
Just shot an email over to my dealer to see if they can match no ADM and honor X-pricing.
X-Plan is X-Plan, you pay what is on the invoice, they can not charge you ADM

As was said before, keep in mind, these are reservations meaning the allocation comes with you, the customer.

If I did not pick Dealership X, they would not have received my allocation.

If they charge a markup, I'm going to presume Ford customer service will eventually succumb to everyone's complaints and allow us to move the allocation to a different preferred dealer. Plus, what if I moved between now and early/mid-2021 and need to adjust my dealership preference?

I'm told that all reservations will be produced and sold first, then regular production begins (regular "allocations").

This seems almost too good to be true?!
I have previously owned 2, that should count for something, right?

We need to be a member for 60 days before being able to use X-Plan, is that also how it works?
I just did it. You pay the $25 for the membership fee, the Club website then gives you the partner code to enter into the x-plan website, you enter your info on the x-plan website and it gives. you the x-plan pin number. Your club membership card will be mailed to you within 60 days. You need the print out of the x-plan pin number and your club membership card when you go to the dealership in december to place your official order. The X-plan pin numbers and the club membership are good for 1 full year.

That dealer clearly doesn't understand the new reservation system that Ford created for the mach-e and bronco, and mistakenly believes it is his allocation. If it was me I would send the following curt response.

"I'm sorry that you appear to be under the mistaken impression that it is your allocation to do with as you wish. The reservation for the First Edition is mine, and mine alone. Under Ford's rules of the new reservation system created for the mach-e and broncos, I am free and able to switch the reservation to a different dealership of my choosing and will be doing so if you persist in attempting to extort a markup out of me. Furthermore, Ford will be notified of the attempted extortion.

Sincerely,
SeventyOne"

I've spoken to a couple dealers here in SoCal and in Denver and all of them have said they will not charge any additional dealer fees regardless of the trim level. Good guys are out there...
Which dealers? I got in contact with my local one (Fairway) and said this:
" Yes, thank you for contacting me. I am looking forward to the new Bronco. I just want to make sure there is going to be no mark up price on the Bronco. If there is I'll cancel the reservation and go to a more popular dealer. You are just my local dealer I grew up next to all my life and your garage has been good to me and my current ford focus RS (which I will be trading in) so I wanted to give you my business first."

They gave me this spotty answer:
"Ford has not provided us build sheets, pricing, schedules, or any other materials on the Bronco other than the same information the public has recieved. The initial pricing in the reservation system is set by the factory, just as it is on the Mach E with a similar reservation system. I'm not sure what you mean by "more popular" dealer. You have not ordered a car yet - you have simply saved your place in line to order when when the time comes available. Rest assured we will make sure that our local, repeat customers will be happy with the pricing and the process!"

By popular dealer, I simply meant ones with bigger inventory that move more cars. I got that Focus RS from Villa Ford for invoice price so I am curious about the dealers you contacted and if I should switch my reservation over to those!

Dealer in socal stated - no markup or dealer fees. Just title, taxes, and registration. Unfortunately that was not the dealer on my reservation list, still waiting on a call back from them. Will switch if necessary.

Can someone shed sone light on x-plan pricing, where do I sign up?
Which dealer stated no markup? May switch my reservation to them.

As a fellow Bay Area First Edition Reservation holder... Fuck every part of that answer. I have my reservation at Hilltop Ford (despite living in SF proper... The reservation website was glitching and not letting me choose Serramonte. Maybe for the best?) I'll let you know if their situation is better so you can transfer, if that's ever to be determined as possible.

What is stopping a dealership from saying no ADM, then doing a 180 as you try to drive it off the lot (Especially for FE reservations)? What can be done to mitigate this now? Even if you had it in writing via email, what can you do if they don’t honor it? Can’t switch dealers when it is delivered.

Are dealers 100% barred from charging ADM on A/Z plans? I reserved a 2 door FE for a close family member under A plan pricing, and am worried the dealer will try and weasel as much money as possible.

Indeed. Why don't we all just wait until our reservations turn into actual production slots, and then deal with it when it's actually time.

If I was an unscrupulous dealership, right now, I'd simply say "Heck no! No ADMS." And then simply do a bait-n-switch when the car arrives.

That said, those who say "ADM!!" right now, are helping you out by steering you away this early in the game, so maybe it's not a bad thing.

I reserved at two different dealers in the hope that having options at time of build (which I presume is also time of locking in my purchase price) would keep them honest. Seems like others are getting good results by proactively calling dealer. I think that is on my to-do list for today.

I wish I thought of that. Really should've done that.

Granted, I couldn't even get in despite trying for hours and hours, and then the FE sold out. :(

If their website wasn't garbage, I really would've just reserved two at two different dealers.

Won't they be eating humble pie when they realize you can switch dealers. The jokes on them as they just lost a $60k sale. Like always say " Pigs get fat and Hogs get Slaughtered"

It's simple, really. These dealerships are mentally stuck in the past, and don't understand what this new concept of a reservation system is all about.

That said, Ford should've communicated expectations better to their dealership network.
