Reserved in 8/21, ordered a '22 through the dealer in 11/21. Order showed up on the Ford site the next day, got the confirmation email and all. I check the reservation page once or twice a week because I'm a sucker with optimism just to see if I got lucky.
Skip to two days ago, 1/26, and the Ford site says my order was canceled. I know the Ford site has hiccups now and then, but I call the dealer just in case. He gives me a "I've been dealing with this all day, lets look at it." Makes comments about canceling '21 orders to update to '22, I tell him I had already ordered the '22. He then seems to go through my build and says he submits it again. Says I should have gotten an email from Ford. I didn't. He then forwards me the PDF order summary page.
Couple days later, the Ford site still has my Bronco labeled as canceled.
Did my dealer screw me over? Feels like I'm getting the run around, but it doesn't make sense to cancel an order that guarantees you a sale, right? Did he mistakenly cancel my order then re-ordered another one that isn't tied to my reservation?
Looking for any advice.
Thanks.
