Reserved in 8/21, ordered a '22 through the dealer in 11/21. Order showed up on the Ford site the next day, got the confirmation email and all. I check the reservation page once or twice a week because I'm a sucker with optimism just to see if I got lucky.

Skip to two days ago, 1/26, and the Ford site says my order was canceled. I know the Ford site has hiccups now and then, but I call the dealer just in case. He gives me a "I've been dealing with this all day, lets look at it." Makes comments about canceling '21 orders to update to '22, I tell him I had already ordered the '22. He then seems to go through my build and says he submits it again. Says I should have gotten an email from Ford. I didn't. He then forwards me the PDF order summary page.

Couple days later, the Ford site still has my Bronco labeled as canceled.

Did my dealer screw me over? Feels like I'm getting the run around, but it doesn't make sense to cancel an order that guarantees you a sale, right? Did he mistakenly cancel my order then re-ordered another one that isn't tied to my reservation?

Looking for any advice.

Thanks.

Dealers were told not to delete the 2021 reservation orders even after we transferred to 2022 orders, so if they deleted that original order it may be difficult to reference it to the original reservation. You should still get your vehicle if they have the 2022 ordered but may lose out on some of the FordPass rewards and price protection that reservation holders received.

So I called the Bronco hotline and spoke to a very nice lady there. She had not seen my situation before, but her party leader had. She said that the dealership canceled my reservation, but kept my order. So now I have an order that's not attached to any reservation.

Find another dealership, and sadly - move on. You'll waste more time trying to fix this issue. Get in touch with the Bronco Hotline, be calm and ask for help in fixing the issue - give them the new dealership you'd like to work with

If you don't have a reservation anymore I'd agree with @JoshuaPrieto... time to move on to a better dealer. But first see if Ford can get your reservation back for you.

If they can, and you don't mind traveling, I'd personally call up Town & Country Ford in Alabama and see what they say. They are probably one of the more highly regarded Ford dealers down south. Honestly, they may have so many orders at this point that it would be a bad idea to order from them just due to allocations, but hopefully they will be straight up and honest with you about what the timeline looks like.
