Good question, because I was very surprised by what I got. The OEM orange tow hooks are NOT cyber orange - they're more of an electric nacho color. At first I hated the mismatch, but I've got to accustomed to them enough that I stopped calling paint shops to have them repainted.Buck_6G, quick question for you. I've been contemplating getting the orange tow hooks you have, are yours the Ford Performance tow hooks and how close is the orange to the cyber orange of the vehicle?
So happy to hear you love your Bronco! Thank you for being a part of the Ford family.DIY wrapped, painted grill and beauty rings plus retro pin stripe
Top wrapped with 2080 3M vinyl film. It took my husband and I about 5 hours and was surprisingly simple after we got the hang of the corners. It cost 180 on amazon. The only thing we’ve ever wrapped before was a Christmas present. It turned out really good! The quote we got from the local wrap guy was 1500.
Talked to a powder coat guy about the wheels, but that was going to cost 500, so we just removed the beauty rings and did the same thing we did to the grill.
The grill was the hardest to get just right. We removed the grill, drilled out the letters, sanded and prepped the grill. Sprayed it with gloss automotive paint and finished it with a clear protective coat. The letters we painted red and glued them back with JB weld.
The pinstripe is from underground graphics. It was 90 dollars and took about and hour to install. Getting it perfectly straight is almost impossible. Even with a level….
we removed the Badlands badges, put one under the painted white bronco on the back and the other on my son’s hat. Retro script from Bronco graveyard is on the way.
Thanks for looking! It was a super fun project. I had a 4 dr cactus grey badlands and I switched it out for the 2 dr cyber orange. Really happy about that decision!
This looks like a blast John! Glad to see you are enjoying your Bronco. It finally warmed up enough in our valley that, for the first time, I was able to take the roof and doors off.
I was surprised that the wind buffeting at 70mph was not excessive, and that the ride was actually quite comfortable. May there be many more weeks of this weather.
I am loving the open air feeling!
Looking good, Jim! Thanks for sharing with the Bronco community.Always looking to make new additions to the Wildtrak. Threw a 3M wrap on until spring and then color matched paint job. Advanced Fiberglass Concepts Ram Air Hood. Only knock is that it doesn't have cutouts to put my hood struts in like the stock hood has.
Beautiful photo, Abby! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photo, Mel! Thanks for sharing it with the Bronco community.
Finally got the Heritage wheels on slowly but surely coming together
Such a beautiful photo! Thanks for sharing this with the Bronco community.Cyber orange sunsets are the best!
What recovery points on our your mod bumper? Are they the ones from Ford Performance? I am looking to get the orange ones from Ford Performance but I am unsure how close the color will match.Congrats!! You are gonna have a ball!!
