Just wondering if anyone is aware of if FORD would offer some kind of compensations for a vehicle that has been down an extended period of time? Currently closing in on 30 day mark without my Bronco due to manual transmission issues. Parts have been rumored to be back ordered, till April even "rumors" suggesting a long as a year out. No one knows, FORD is leaving us in the dark. Some kind of compensation, extended warranty, points for the problems would be nice.

While I don’t have direct experience with Ford I did have a Jeep that was down for two months due to parts availability. I was financed through Chrysler Credit and they reimbursed me for the two payments I made while the vehicle was out of service.
I have had co-workers opt for an extended warranty/service contract under similar circumstances.
You may also have the option of returning the vehicle under the Lemon Law but then you wouldn’t have a Bronco anymore.

In many states this circumstance would definitely make you eligible for a buy-back under "lemon law" rules. That may be undesirable to some but you might want to look in to the availability of broncos at MSRP and evaluate if its a good option for you. Definitely takes a lot of elbow grease to make it happen though (as was my experience in VW).

Yeah lemon would be the worst case scenario for me I do want to keep the vehicle.

Same, and same. Thankfully finally got out of my wifes VW Atlas after being denied three times. If you're interested in the Lemon Law route do a google search, most do it for free as theyre reimbursed through the manufacturer.

Scary to hear other people are having long term issues like this. My Bronco has been at the dealer for almost three weeks and no one seems to know what the problem is, even scarier.

The nice thing about it is they pay you back what you paid for the vehicle, taxes, and payments made while in the process. Theres a mileage deduction for use subtracted and its all over. Just a heads up most will deny you on their own, once you get a lawyer involved it becomes another story, especially if it can be deemed a safety issue.

I was just going to trade it in, but i didnt get offered much. This sounds like it would be better, i dont think id even bother unless i had a lawyer.

At the very least, manufacturers should add some warranty on the back end for a vehicle that was unusable for an extended period.
