yup - it looks good to me - especially the back - the front sucks. But then getting close and touching the back - it is mostly plastic - the rear around the lights going up to the top is all plastic and shiny. I did not like that at all. Must be cheaper to mold plastic, but I bet the replacement parts won't reflect those savings.

I really like the looks of the old school ones. The newer versions just don't seem to translate that same level of ruggedness to me, though still look kinda cool. Buy what gives you the most smiles for the miles!

The first time you have a rock hit your windshield you'll be crying because you paid 75k...Then when you have to find a replacement windshield you'll be crying again over the price....

Come back to the forum and wait for your Bronco!!!!

Exactly my reaction. I was clowning it with my girlfriend, something like “wtf is this stupid looking thing” and as I passed it, realized it was a defender 90 😳

It's gorgeous and speaks to me on a spiritual level but wildtrak is the tippity top of what I can afford right now

Catch me in 10 years Defender

I own a Defender. It's my "grownup" vehicle. It tows a crapton of weight, is a breeze to drive across the country, and eats up washboarded rocky desert roads in Death Valley like they are nothing. It's a fantastic truck, and I take it off road every chance I get. It's a ridiculously versatile vehicle, and I use it as both a daily driver and a workhorse.

I am probably also getting a Bronco. It will be much more of a toy. It won't have the payload or towing capacity of the Defender, or the all day comfort for long road trips.... but it will be fun. I'll take the top off and beat on it a bit more than I would the Defender, just because it will cost so much less. I would not be surprised if I end up using the Defender to tow the Bronco out to Arizona or Utah, and then have one driver in each vehicle once we hit the trails. It will be fun to see who gets stuck first. I'm betting it will be whoever has the Bronco, just because they will be pushing it harder.

Well, I finally had to pull the plug on the Bronco "dream". Between my dealerships utter lack of communication, and being a little disenfranchised with Ford and their entire rollout of this thing (7/14 9:00 am reservation), on top of needing a new vehicle ASAP I decided to buy a Defender. It was next to impossible to find one of these as well, so having to buy one from Indiana while living in Oklahoma. Test drove one locally though and really loved it (at least, on road - didn't have opportunity to drive one off road).

Strange feeling, as I think I prefer the Bronco's looks a tad bit more but am fairly certain this one will handle much better on road and as a daily driver/road trip car. The difference in price (about $18k) is irrelevant as we need a car now. Strange.... I've been lurking these boards from inception, and will miss having a reason to read them! Best wishes lads, good luck with the new trucks.

Hoping this dealership refunds the $500 deposit since no VIN was assigned yet, but not holding my breath based on all of my experiences with both Ford and these guys thus far...

Peace&Love

I did B&P for Defender 4 door, white exterior, with white steel wheels (Awesome) with rear 3rd seat (Family Pack, rear air cond included!) upgraded Meridian sound system, and Interactive driver display, $54,780 including freight. I love the Bronco, but it is too small for my family. I hope the Land Rover Dealer Service Dept has tv with ESPN, I'm probably going to be spending some time there.
