When Ford gives us estimated delivery dates by the end of this month, will they give us dates for those that are now coded 99?

I wouldn't read anything into the email. I got the same one and I've got an unbuildable Wildtrak on order(painted mod top)
My understanding is the email is auto generated when the order is submitted to the system (assigned a code order then 99).

I too received an email when my order with the mod top was submitted, back when it was an MY21 option. When that option became an MY22 option, our orders were in limbo… but no new orders could be submitted with that item.

Ford has since asked that dealers submit a list of all these instances to the region so that a code 99 can be assigned back to it, as a way of cleaning up the ordering system for the schedulers.

There are also plenty of instances on the forum of people reporting they hadn’t received the email, only to discover their dealer left it 99… when they pressed their dealer to change it, the email finally arrived.

Think about it this way: The 99 is a way for a dealership to save a draft order in the system for a buyer who is on the fence or wants to discuss things further. It wouldn’t make sense for Ford to generate a “Your Order is In!” Email until it’s coded something else, and not before. (The only rub is that sometimes these emails get lost in spam, so the absence of an email doesn’t mean anything, only the presence).

You should not be a 99 unless you're wanting a 22MY. That means don't build even if the parts are available. You should be 10-19. That means your order will be considered for scheduling. If they have the parts available when your time comes, they'll build it. If not, they'll go back and reconsider with the next round of scheduling.
