Changing Interior Air Vents Tab Color?

What kind of paint?

Air brush paint. Was mixed with some gloss clear (1050) to help bind it. Paint is a exact match to race red.

So has anyone actually replaced the factory painted versions with factory black ones? Not just an aftermarket clip that goes over it. Are the factory painted ones removable or is the entire assembly one piece?

Follow up, does Ford even make the chiclets in black? I've seen grey, red, blue and orange but not sure any of the models come with black?

I also bought some off Etsy but now it says they are no longer available. I just got the plain black unpainted ones and they're ok, but they work for the $20 I paid to get rid of the blue. They did take an embarrassingly long time to install though and even though I was super careful I still managed a couple small scratches in the plastic.

Do you still have the blue ones? I’ll give ya $30 for them
