Ceramic coating interior plastics

We all know how easy it is to scratch or mark the cheap interior plastics on these things, but has anyone come up with a solid solution to preventing that?

I’ve watched some videos on ceramic coating exterior plastic pieces for easier cleaning, but could this also help protect the interior against scratches? Any downsides to coating high(er) touch areas in ceramic?

Ceramic coatings don't protect paint from getting scratched. That's actually a misconception. They won't protect plastics from it either.

Ceramic coating wont protect from scratches. If you want to protect your interior from scratches, you an look into applying vinyl wrap to the high traffic areas.

Ceramic coating doesn't prevent scratches. I'm sure there is some plastic treatment or protective out there.

Got it, thanks for all the replies! Looking back on the exterior trim videos the ceramic was to make cleaning easier, nothing mentioned about scratches.

I wouldn't imagine a vinyl wrap over the textured plastics would turn out too well unfortunately.
