Looks great and I’m sure it helps spread the load on the top.
I see some good space between back seat…how much space is there with seats reclined?
And did you have to cut out the dividers? I thought only the front to back ones came out.

Thank you, yes it's pretty robust now, I can seat on it and it's not bending in, and the stuff on the top you put will not slide and make noise as it is not metal. The space behind of the drawer is about 5-6 inches wide my 24 inch FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Pop-Up Fire Pit perfectly fits there.
So dividers, vertical ones just pushed in to the horizontal divider's cutouts you can pul them out, Horizontal dividers attached with 2 screws to the drawer, you can remove them too.

Oh cool, should be enough for some traction boards to fit. Good to know you can remove all the dividers, some secured ones makes sense. Thanks for the info!

Couple of questions, what did you cover the plywood with? What type of tiedowns? Can you still get to the jack? If yes how hard is it with the drawer and plywood? 3/4 inch?

You are correct - It's a pain in the butt to do. I ended up emptying the under-floor storage (jack and gas funnel), and put them inside my security drawer. It takes up minimal room, and I know if I need it, the last thing I'll want to do is empty my drawer to pull it out, to access the jack and stuff.

I didn't add plywood to the top of mine, but I did notch out some rubber matting from Home Depot. Worked out well, and prevents stuff from sliding around. It also didn't need any adhesive to stick, as it has held perfectly fine for well over a year. Just another option for folks.

You can check it out, with pictures, here in my write-up thread.

Since I read thru the posts it pretty much answered most of the questions. Thank you!! Now if they would go on sale or a double off coupon or something! My ford dealer parts desk says almost $800 with tax.

They used to be a bit cheaper when they first came out, but #inflation.

I’d keep an eye on the Marketplace on B6G or Facebook Marketplace - I’m sure some folks sell them off from time to time.

If you know your local Ford parts department well, it’s worth chatting with them. I’ve found they can be good at reducing the price - where they can. No harm in inquiring!

Love it! Can you tell the exterior dimensions? I looked all over Fords site can’t find dimension. Hoping it’s 30” or more deep.

1. Plywood covered by carpet liner from Home Depot
2. Carpet to plywood - 3M Headliner, Fabric and Carpet Adhesive Spray
3. Plywood attached to the drawer with 5 bolts and nuts. 4 corners and 1 in the middle (for noise reduction)
4. Now about the jack) first of all I trow away the useless factory jack, I have a farm Jack and it's under my back seats. I am using under drawer compartment for tools storage since I don't need them often. In case if I need some tools from there I am taking out the drawer from cabinet without emptying it. That is how I do. all depends how much weight will be in your drawer and your power.
5. Plywood is 3/4

Plenty of room behind drawer and rear seat for traction boards. Keep mine in black bag so they disappear in cargo area.

Unlike some I am most pleased with the Tuffy drawer. I too did the plywood top and rubber mat with factory tie dons mounted on top. Definitely added strength to top.
