Anyone wrap their carbonized gray in a flat/matte/satin PPF? Curious is it look good or like dark primer.

I've seen a few pics posted around the forum of people who have wrapped with stealth Xpel and I thought it looked pretty good!
But that is 100% a preference thing. Try searching the forum for "stealth xpel" and see if you can find some results...they're out there.

Here...did some of the work for you lol

There are definitely more pictures out there though...
I would totally do it, but I don't feel like dropping that kind of money on it.
Sure it protects the paint while giving it a cool matte look, but I was seeing quotes anywhere from $3k to $6k...

I've always associated Stealth Xpel and similar finishes with guys, especially urban guys, whose vehicles have damaged finishes and don't want, or can't afford, a serious paint job. My son did it in college with a rather nicely souped up Celica GT. He got a good deal on it because the roof and hood were seriously sun damaged.
But to do that on a recent model with a good finish? On a Bronco? Blllleeaaaah! I'll pass.

PS: Earl Sheib Paint & Body closed its doors in 2010.

I hear ya. I had a beat up pickup I sprayed with matte plastic dip years ago. IDK why I like it on some colors now.

There is a big difference between a shitty wrap and a nicely done PPF.
Just sayin...

Finally got my Bronco delivered today and already put on a few parts I've been stockpiling. Carbonized Gray is underrated. This color is perfect.

Bummer I had Earl paint three of my VWs back in the day!
