The article says they expect a rear live axle with leaf springs? Is that confirmed? I would have thought coil is more likely over leaf.

Yeah, I think we can be pretty sure it'll have coils in the back. The rear suspension on the Bronco R was one of the things they emphasized was production-like:
"production-based five-link rear chassis"

I really doubt there will be leafs. For one, I don't expect there to be room for them -- if the rear tire is close to the bumper the attachment to the frame would be too close.

eta: of course these guys think the Bronco is a mile long, so their version would have plenty of room for leaf springs.

What is your source? I haven’t heard that one..
I just saw Carmaker say a couple days ago that the design was locked almost two years ago. The tarp image was released almost two years ago.
Seems odd that Ford would release an official tarp teaser that would NOT be accurate right before or at the same time the design got locked.

I actually hate the hood on the shadow teaser by the way.
