Are the loops removable?

I was going to go with a shackle license plate mount for our BD's modular bumper but we switched bumpers and seeing the capable bumper had recovery points i kinda forgot about the plate thing.

Now that we are getting down to the wire and looking at pics the mounting base looks a little wider and it doesnt look like a normal clevis. Does it come apart to get the loop out (i would think it would have to)

I was wondering the same thing. I was also thinking about drilling into this bumper just in case there wasn't an easy workaround. Curious if there are no drill zones for sensors etc. Guess I'll find out when we start seeing them.

I tried to take mine out and they seem to be welded to the bumper reinforcement. (Took out the three screws in the picture but they did not budge). The whole bumper came loose from that side. I also took a good peek inside the bumper and I do not see too many wires. Seems like it would be possible to drill and put a reinforcement on the back to mount accessories. However, to make it easier to work with, you probably have to take out the hole bumper.

Not really too bad now that I think about it, it should be simple to make a bracket coming off those three bolts that reaches thru the cover.

You have to remove the bumper as well and there's apparently a bolt behind it that holds the entire shackle mount.
