Can't update my Bronco order

I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue, but when I asked my dealer if he could add an option on my MY 2022 bronco order that has no production date/vin number set as of yet, that I cannot do any more updates to my order. Why is this? He did not give me a reason.

I don’t think that’s true. I’m pretty sure you can make changes until you have a vin. There was an email about ordering after March, but you already have an order so that shouldn’t apply.

Some folks changed their order a dozen times, even from one model to another or 4d to 2d. Your dealer is being lazy imo.

Maybe the dealer did not want to, er, deal with you being irate after the change made you subject to the mid year '22MY pricing increases.

I'm told by my dealer that I will not be subject to the MY22 price increase, and that I would get a rebate that would be reflected on my invoice.
