Haha thank you! I loved my Mid Travel setup. Definitely much more affordable, and depending on your driving style it could be the perfect fit. Forest roads, mid speed driving, etc it's perfect. I probably would still be running mine if it wasn't for me using my Bronco for work and pushing it hard off road. The great thing is if you upgrade down the road to long travel you can just re use your front shocks so that money doesn't go to waste.

I'm curious - what are considered low/mid speed vs high speed in these cases?

The roof rack is a @TrailRax along with a custom steel fabricated rack to support the 350lbs of dynamic weight off road. It goes through the hard top and in to the Bronco roll cage.

The Grenadier is beautiful and I love a lot about it. It definitely feels like it is built more for the slow speed off roading and overlanding. I love the seats and all the manual switches. Hated the lockers on it though, they had a hard time engaging/disengaging. I would still take my Bronco over a Grenadier though for sure!😄
Thank you, I'm super curious to see a grenadier in person

Low speed 5-10mph on bumpy trails
Mid speed 15-30mph usually in the desert

where the long travel really shines is 35-60mph in the the desert running whoop sections.

Amazing build - congrats! These APG Broncos look incredible!

I'm in a squatch'd 2022 Badlands and considering the APG MidRunner System for both rock crawling and the desert (I'm in CA as well so it's amazing to have both options). How did the MidRunner System feel compared to the stock Bilstein Sasquatch setup? Do you feel like it was a significant improvement on-road and off-road?

Thank you! The MidRunner was a huge upgrade from the factory sasquatch Bilsteins IMO. I liked the factory shocks when moving at mid speeds off road, but I did find them a bit harsh on forest roads and washboard roads. The Kings have a linear piston instead of digressive like the factory shocks, so they rode smoother at low speeds and still had nice control in the mid speed driving. They are also adjustable to user preference just by turning the adjuster on the shock to whatever your driving style is.

I had my stock Badlands Sasquatch in the desert not long ago and found a graded sand road. I was up to 70mph and it felt so loose I got off the throttle. I'm running right at my GVWR of 6180 and m looking for another suspension option. Right now APG is it. Still trying to decide on midtravel vs long travel. I don't want to go wider but it's not a deal breaker. I'm glad I found your video on APG"s YouTube and now this article. I appreciate your input.

BTW..... I love the high speed but I'm more into mountain trails and camping these days. Love your rig!

Damnit man . . . now THIS is a moar door I would sign up for! Just WOW.

It's like how the Gladiator needs a huge lift and tires to look good . . . what you've done here is make me love a version of the 4 door now, and I didn't think that was possible (I'm not even a fan of the Braptor). I hope my friends here don't see this post, because it's like riding a moped - It's fun until your friends catch you and break your balls!

Did you have 35 or 37 inch tires on your midrunner? Are and of the pictures above with the midrunner?
