I am running an injen cai. Completely changed the sound. You get the turbo whistle. I also installed k&n intercooler pipes and a blow off valve. I also installed an mbrp cat back exhaust . My gas mileage has gone up I was getting 17.6 now I. At 19.2 and still climbing. For reference I am running a heritage edition. My next will be a tuner. Undecided on which one. I am also going to 37s so I am expecting to drop back down to the 17mpg range. Also in a manual. IDK if that info is relevant to you

Hello, I forgot my password so I haven’t been able to check this in a while. So would you recommend the Injen? I’ve saved up for some mods and I’m still considering the CAI.

Roush is a fucking waste of $$$, its just a KN Filter & a windowed Lid

Im big on Volant/Corsa, due to the windowed lid being easy to take off and induction noise. Just use a Philips head, wash the lid and filter, and done

that and its more affordable than Roush

Yeah I’ve heard that the roush is basically just a filter box with branding and absolutely no new intake tube.

I’ve been researching though and it seems like injen offers the best build quality and new tubing. Whats great about the volant and corsa? I know they also have new tubing but I’m just looking for feedback before I make a choice.

I was gonna go with Injen, but think you cant wash it, just blow it out and dont have it

got a lot of miles (forget how many) with my
Volant and no complaints about it, I love it personally. I wanted Corsa, but Volant and Corsa are like 4th gen Camaro/Firebirds, identical cousins

You can get the injen with the dry or the oiled filter. Getting the filter out of the airbox to service it is not a quick job though.
Would you say the quality/performance of the Injen would outweigh the con of swapping/ cleaning the filter? Or would it just be better to go with Volant/Corsa because they’re easier to maintenance.

I've had the Injen installed since Jan - while it looks amazing in my engine bay and sounds pretty badass too, I personally think its a waste of money and am considering selling mine and returning to stock. Access to clean the filter is a pain and requires completely removing the inlet pipe, unplugging/moving the vapor tubes and pushing everything out of the way just to blow it out.

Like others have said, youre better off just retaining the stock intake as it is.
