Here are a couple of Outer Banks decorative projects. First, I bought the @BuiltRight Front license plate holder (plastic bumper version) for my beach buggy plate. Bolts on with the existing bumper bolt without penetrating plastic. Very nicely made, multiple mounting positions possible with all threads embedded. Well worth the $79 if you need a front bracket for the OEM plastic bumper. And, my front bumper sensors are fully operational, although I had to mount in the lowest position to clear the sensor, blocking one recovery point.
There are times when the plate bracket would get in the way when off-roading, and I found an alternate mounting location on the Hammerbuilt tailgate accessory bracket, if your plate is a vanity or membership plate like mine. I needed to raise the bracket about a half inch to clear the gas cans and spare tire, so I used a glued fender washer stack of two stainless and two rubber 2" fender washers. OBX Grill Inserts. I've been experimenting with painting the plastic grill inserts available for Outer Banks front grills. Easier than painting the whole grill, and changeable. I tried Oxford White for awhile. Now, I've got a patriotic set (red, white & blue) and an Area51 body color set. So, you can see if you like any of them when you're in the mood for some whimsy . . .
Finally, the photos show my previously posted Bronco Nation Bronco Badge by RMD Garage. I painted mine Oxford White because I didnt think the black showed well on the blue. I like the white, turns out its fortunate I repainted, because one owner showed me his badge with blistered paint. Bronco Nation no longer sells them, but RMD Garage will (hopefully with a better paint).
I'll use this Red-White-Blue set next year from Memorial Day to Independence Day!
