Thanks for sharing your build! I was looking for a flag mount and yours is the cleanest design I've seen. Apparently Maiker no longer sells your version, and a lot of the other vendors have also gone with a design that spreads the load over all four tailgate bolts, and is a lot more bulky (just click on your Amazon link). I did find one company still selling the one you have, but before I buy was hoping you can provide an updated review now that you've had it installed for 2-years. How is it holding up? Overall I like it. The one issue is the length of the handle that screws in to hood the pole in. The thing at the top there. It’s too long to spin easily without hitting the tire. I will probably grind it down a half inch. For now I remove it when the flag pole is not up. The screws they send seem long enough. Should work with the plate. If not, getting longer ones shouldn’t be hard to find.
