I would love the LC at $48k. They advertise $57 but you can't get one for less than low 60's. At that point you are in the GX, like you said.My friends would totally get a landcrusher if it wasn't paired automatically with the hybrid system. The Lexus is better and the 4runner exists, so whats the point of the Landcrusher?
Which doesn't have a hybrid system but a tired and true V6tt. By now they worked out the kinks of the initial flawed ones, and hopefully you find one already built as the tariffs come in tomorrowI would love the LC at $48k. The Land Cruiser is the modern equivalent of the prior 4Runner.My friends would totally get a landcrusher if it wasn't paired automatically with the hybrid system. The Lexus is better and the 4runner exists, so whats the point of the Landcrusher?

Appreciate all the dialogue.I used to have a '98 (bought used) and an'04 (bought new) loved those rigs, so when the new LC was announced I was excited initially, but actually liked the styling of the 4Runner better based on some pre-production pictures.
So, when the 4Runner officially debuted I was cross shopping it with the Bronco. What ultimately steered me away from the 4Runner was the hybrid setup which was your only powertrain choice for the upper trim levels, along with the reviews stating that the engine sounded like a tractor and that it ran out of breath as it gained speed.
In the past Toyota has always had the upper hand from a reliability standpoint, but they too recently have shown that the are no longer bulletproof. I got 160K miles on my 2004 Land Cruiser and all it ever asked of me was oil changes, brakes and tires.
I'm afraid that those days may be long gone.
So, I went with the WildTrak. Could have gone with the Lexus. It is a good looking rig, but I was already spending more than I wanted to.
Obviously gave up some towing capability compared to the 4Runner, and I'm not kidding myself that Ford would have the upper hand from a reliability perspective, but with Toyota quality not being a slam dunk anymore, I made my choice.
Time will tell.

Why would they compare the Bronco 2 door to the Jeep and Toyota 4 doors? Not apples to apples.
