Hi everyone. New Bronco owner with teenagers (and a wife ;) ) in the house that MIGHT get to drive it someday. This is our first legit 4x4 and I’m trying to learn and then teach about all of the transmission settings and how/when to use them. Realistically though, other than snow and ice, it will likely only see limited off road driving. “Off roading“ limited to some very light trails on family land or some sand at the beach.

I found the manual online and I am reading thru it. But I’m wondering if anyone can recommend videos that might explain all of the settings, options and when to use them? I googled and there’s a gazillion, I’m asking if anyone has seen some that are particularly good at educating a novice.

thanks in advance!

Do yourself a favor and don't let teenagers drive a 50K+ 4wd vehicle if you want it to last too long.

First learn the difference between the transmission and the transfer case!

The transmission is virtually the same as any other automatic in other vehicles...however the transfer case and axles are a bit more unique.

I'm baffled by the chance of any possible confusion? They made these dumb-proof!

I mean Ford literally did all the work for you ! You can just put your Bronco in the mode for the conditions. Mud/snow, slippery, Baja, ect...
No need to overthink any of it. In fact they took the thinking out of the equation. It's already set up as ”4x4 for newbies”

Maybe sign up for the one of the rodeos?

Anyway enjoy your new steed! It likely has more capabilities than most of the owners!
