Man aint that some shit... Well at least it's working now, but I'm sure you were madder than a hornet. You'd think the dealer/service/mechanics would try the basic troubleshooting steps. To me, checking the battery terminals would have been one of the FIRST things done, but hey I'm not a mechanic.

Glad it is working but three weeks and 100 miles for a tech to do the obvious thing (make sure the terminals are tight) that SHOULD have been the first thing they did when you took it up there the first time.
And to simply not check that or run any diagnostics on the alternator/battery at all in 3 weeks, but waiting for the problem to replicate or give them codes is simply lazy and inept, at best.
I'm the personality that would go see the service "manager" and ask him outright why he lied to me. But then think it over before and probably NOT do it out of fear he would retaliate on the tech who actually did his job and fixed it for you, listened to your story, and helped you.

I think this is a PRIME example of a dealer being too busy (and understaffed) to be bothered. ANY mechanic/engineer watching that video should understand that the issue was charging system/battery related.

The voltage on a battery doesn't just jump around like that but the output of the alternator will, (think of the battery as a lake and the alternator as a river feeding the lake, the flow of the river can be variable, but the lake level rises and lowers more steadily).

So, what that video tells me is that you Bronco wasn't reading battery level. Why? Step 1: Hey, let's check that the battery has a proper connection....

this is why I try to do my own repairs when possible. Ford will take weeks and do nothing. Very sad that basics were not done, but not surprising at all.
