I'm going dormant.

I've thought about it, and thought, and thought...I've CANCELLED my 2d day Reservation Today, Ford and my Dealer are unhappy and both have reached out to me, I'm sorry but it's just so much wrong about buying any big ticket thing right now, especially something sight unseen, something with so many unanswered questions, the COVID-19 uncertainties and implications. Just too much hassle in the world, right now.

I'll stay a member here, watching you guys have fun, or not.

FYI: I cancelled my original reservation (#10349622 - 7/27/2020), please mark it as cancelled on the spreadsheet. Will be interesting to track the number of cancellations.

That said, I made a new reservation today and just submitted it via the survey form. The reason I cancelled the July one was to defer until 2022 model year so can benefit from the fixes/improvements they make based on what they learn from the initial rollout and owner feedback, hundreds of thousands of miles of real-life user testing. I might have been able to defer my reservation instead of cancelling it, I don't know, anyway, the deed is done. There will be no 2021 Bronco for me. Probably will regret that, who knows. Hindsight will be 20/20. "No regrets."

Update with my 2 reservations. I have 2 reservations 7/24 and 10/1 with Granger Ford. I just cancelled the 7/24 reservation, so those of you after 7/24 should move on up! Congrats! The cancelled reservation is #10210733.

I'm on the fence with the other reservation as well, due strictly to many financial factors at play in my family's interests moving forward. Nothing crazy, just trying to decide what I'd rather do with extra income after paying off my 2015 Kia Optima. I'd rather invest that in my stay at home wife's Roth IRA/IRA, while she's a stay at home mom vs sending it to Ford. Then there's home updating I'd like to do and potentially pay the house off in the next 2-3 years instead. The financial flexibility that would come in the next 3 years would outweigh me driving a Bronco in one of the first 2 MY's. At least that's how I'm leaning right now. I waver back and forth, but it's usually when I think about never buying a new vehicle for myself and wanting a new Bronco ASAP. Then I realize it's selfish and I could setup our family for a more difficult financial period for 3-5 years vs simply waiting a few years instead. ?‍♂

There isn't a correct answer, but to be debt free in my mid 40's is very appealing, potentially moreso than owning a 1st/2nd MY Bronco. By MY 3 or 4, I'd be back in the market potentially buying with cash or 1/2 the vehicle with cash. Seems I know the correct route and just haven't fully committed to it yet. LOL.

Just adding myself to the queue. reserved my Wildtrak on September 9th, so I might be waiting for a while, but that's cool, wasn't planning on buying a new car for 2-3 years anyway! what I want to know is why no GREEN option at all???? probably just buy a silver one and have it wrapped..???

In your position that’s a very wise choice.
