Hello I currently have a 2021 bronco sport big bend and always wanted the big bronco. Now that their opening the order banks again I’m considering getting the bronco outer banks soft top but with the Lux package. I was wondering as I’ve never ordered a car before what to expect with the process such as ordering, wait time and when do they do the credit check? I was told it would only take 60 to 90 days but I’ve also heard that it depends. Thank you for your time.

Alot to unpack in your post.....
wait can be anywhere from 3 months to 3 years depending on dealer you choose.
No credit check until you apply for financing (assuming you do not pay cash)
Vet your dealer to assure no funny business (mark ups, fees, etc..)

If a dealer told you 60 to 90 days, then I would go to another dealer. No dealer can reliably tell you it’s going to take that long.

fwiw -I ordered OBX soft top lux package on 2/7/22 and it’s in transit and should be here by end of the month. I consider myself really lucky to be getting a bronco within 6 months.

I ordered a Base with nothing on it. I currently have a build date. If it's built on time (it has moved a couple months) I will get it in about 20 months after I ordered.

Normally, you can order a car and get it in 6-8 weeks. My Dad ordered a brand new Explorer and it was built in 4 weeks, then 3 weeks to ship.

That is not true for new models with high demand. (Bronco, Maverick, Mach-E, Lightning). But if you wanted a Ranger or an Escape that timeline would be correct.

Edit to add: if you are willing to buy both a 4-door, and the soft top, I honestly would expect a very fast (4-5 month) order to delivery process.
