How likely are you to modify your own Bronco or hire a professional to handle those needs? Where do you draw the line? What products would you like to see in stock at said shop? Would you rather bring your own parts guilt free? There are numerous "Jeep" shops around but this is not the same beast..... How likely are you to use a NON dealer resource for accessory installation? What would you plan on doing first few years while warranty exists?

I do most of my modifications myself. I want to understand how wiring/hoses/etc are run for my accessories, in case something breaks on the trail. Things I leave to professional shops are installations that are either high precision or require specialized tools. Gears are a good example. Exhaust is another, due to the welding. Tunes and other ECU modifications scare me a little.

I would always want the option to bring my own parts if I was going to a shop. I understand why shops don't like to do that. There's a fuzzy line between a part failure and an installation failure.

A shop that does the research for me is more likely to get my business. Know what suspensions are available and what the differences are between them. Same for armor. Be able to get or fabricate installation hardware for a wide range of accessories like light bars, rear taillight extensions, rear camera relocations, etc.

First thing we’re doing when we get ours is getting window tint! Definitely a necessity in Texas!

I'm probably in the minority here but I am generally not a trusting person. I plan on doing everything myself unless I absolutely have to bring it to the dealership for warranty or recall work.
I was an ASE Master/L1 tech in a previous life and the quality of work I witnessed by "professionals" was down right frightening.

Having said that, there are some great independent shops and dealerships out there, but make sure you do your research, ask all the right questions and don't be afraid to walk away.

I did everything on my Jeep with the exception of the jobs I just didn't want to do... the ones that my time and relaxation was worth more than how much it would cost someone else to do it, or the jobs I just wanted to have done correctly and I didn't want my first time doing it to be on my daily driver by myself.

For example, I did my own suspension change (springs, shocks, brackets, etc) in my driveway over a weekend.. Vs I brought my Jeep to a local respected Jeep specialty shop to do the final drive regearing...

I'd much rather take care of any "bolt ons" myself. I'd save money and get to know my vehicle in depth. I don't plan on going crazy, so, yeah, I'll be doing pretty much everything myself.

I can’t even trust others to change the oil correctly in our new vehicles let alone do anything besides mount/balance & rotate tires. Even then, I’m correcting their torque settings on the lug nuts and reminding them a few times the rotation pattern I want.

I have zero problems dismantling brand new vehicles and modifying. Did this on my f150, wrangler and the wife’s GC.

There's nothing I can't do myself, thanks to my profession. It's just going to come down to what I feel like doing on my days off.

Oil changes are probably going to be done at the dealer, because I just don't feel like dealing with it. Lift kit, wiring, rebuilds, or some other mods? That's the kind of stuff I get out of bed for.
