Bronco influence shows in new Ford design language concept

Ford released a new design language concept dubbed/translated “Progressive Energy in Strength” in China. While it’s not meant to represent any particular vehicle, the Ford Mustang comes immediately to mind when looking at it. However, upon closer inspection, I see some of the new Ford Bronco design cues as well.

So where are the Bronco design cues? Here. The raised hood lines and the rear upward kink are both present in the new Bronco.

That’s how they do design language sometimes. It’s more of an idea and not meant to be finished in appearance.

Not so sure -- those lines have been a characteristic of Mustangs for a long time. Our 2019 Mustang certainly has them.

Looks more like an older Chrysler concept.

Not so sure -- those lines have been a characteristic of Mustangs for a long time. Our 2019 Mustang certainly has them.

I see it too, but the boldness of that crease shows Bronco influence. Also, a bit of 67-69 Mustang. ?

I used to love their concepts. Too bad they didn’t act on more of them.
