The forces are the same unless theres some t case trickery going on ,and all that force is going thru those skinny half shafts.

Road mannerwise ifs all day hardcore or out in the middle of nowhere i like sfa.

Each has its strong points as have been said here a gatrazillion times.

Posted this in another review area but do not expect it without lockers to be as good. Most rigs will turn off ESP but the BLD should remain on. Most rigs you cannot completely turn off traction control without a secondary controller. The biggest issue with ESP is the cutting of engine power. In 4L that should be disabled. The Swaybar disco helps a lot but still IFS is at a disadvantage. Comfort and drive manor on road is the reason to chose the Bronco. People seem to think the Wrangler is not good at speed must have not been in one for a while. It is good just not as good as IFS. The Bronco has some trick shocks that helps but it still only has 9" of travel where most rigs build for speed have over a foot. This is why I think the Bronco will be a great overland rig. You will not be doing hardcore stuff with a roof top tent nor will you be doing highspeed. It is the right balance of speed and ruggedness for the job.

The Bronco is a superior ride in terms of comfort at speed. Don't kid yourself into thinking the JL is close, it's improved over older models but not close to the Bronco.

I def think that a base JL vs a base Bronco, the JL is a superior off-roader. Also it's nice that even the regular sport JL can come with the LSD. I also think that the BLD in all Wranglers is probably superior to whatever comes in Non-Sas Broncos. With that said, a standard Bronco can probably go anywhere a standard Wrangler can go, just may have to work a bit harder to get there.

Anyways, maybe down the road there will be a software update that improves the Bronco version of BLD. But good to know that maybe 4H will get some people out of a jamb if 4L disables TCC.

Front and Rear in my opinion if you want to challenge the rig and not destroy it. Yes rear only or no lockers can get through but it requires more momentum, which = speed. More speed = more broken or bent parts. At OFF-Roadeo in Moab last week we were in 4wd L almost all day and were encouraged to only use the hero switches if required. I personally spend way more time in 2WD and use 4WD L as required. I tough stuff I like to lock up and pick my line and go slow! It was cool to test the limits of the truck. On one set of obstacles they we climbing with no lockers and bouncing and spinning over the ledges. I told the wife I could do the same thing but why get beat up. I locked up front and rear and crawled up smooth like we were on a cloud. Whats the hurry the scenery is fantastic and why trash the rig.
When I did Moab, I basically turned the rear locker on (because is it sooo easy in the Bronco) anytime there was any sort of climbing. In any situation where is was a decent climb (and straight) front llocker went on.

It just made for a smooth and no effort climb. Never had to "send it", never had to bounce it, not bump it...and my running gear thanked me.

There is one thing misleading though. In Moab those rocks provide great traction. So In many cases you wouldn't need either locker and it would have done the obstacle with just a little bit of work.

But as soon as you put those open diffs in a slippery situation, your odds go down without the ability to use your lockers.

For me the last thing I want is to be going halfway up a hill and realize I can't make it in either have to back up or slide back down. The Bronco makes it so easy just to push a button climb the obstacle and then turn the locker off.

Did you drive the Bronco at Hollister Hills? I drove one (OBX) there last week. It performed well. OBX did not have Front Locker. I did not experience any slippage or difficulty making any climbs. I drove before the big rans cam later on Sunday afternoon. I agree though having the Front Locker is the way to go.
Nah, I was at prairie City. This one specific mud hill was probably 45° or more, only about 8 or 10 feet high, but was all rutted up, had dips, etc.

The rear just spun until I did the front. How had I carried more momentum I'm sure it would have made it up, but that would have been pretty rough on the Bronco to hit that incline with any speed.

Yep........ rear lockers will do a lot of regular "4x4" roads but why stress the drivetrain and components. Gearing, slow, deliberate, locked front and a nice line will get you pretty much where you want to go.
