Wow that makes my wife's rubicon hinge reinforcement look decent...Truthfully, the FP hinge reinforcement is a bit of a joke. I thought it was beefy until I took it off as part of a bumper/swing gate install. It is the thinnest sheet metal and plastic piece they could get away with (understandable, given how heavy the vehicle is) that allowed the strength increase that engineers were looking for. Admittedly, in the plane that the reinforcement is used, it shouldn't take much. That said, if I wanted to add a bracket like that back on it would absolutely be aftermarket and not FP.
