A blower is pretty handy. They work especially well on motorcycles and engine bays where there a lots of surface areas where you really don't want trapped water. For the exterior paint work it probably doesn't add much other than blow the standing water off. It does work good for hard to get to crooks and crannies like mirrors, wheels, grills, ect, ect. It just speeds up the drying process is all.

Wait, wut? You're buying a blow dryer for a car? It'll be the envy of everycar at the mall...
This is the way if you want your soft top to look like it’s had a perm.

I use this, it will blow fresh snow off the driveway and cars also!! It has a variable speed trigger pull that is also very usefull.

I've been using the same electric Toro leaf blower I got on clearance from Lowes for $30 for years. Takes a little longer than a high dollar, high power unit I'm sure. But it does the job.

I was looking for a blower to dry off the Bronco after cleaning. I've seen the $200.00 and up ones and I will not pay that much for one. Of course I hit up Amazon and I ran across this one, 50 bucks and gets decent reviews. Thinking I might pull the trigger on it, any else bought this?Mini blower
Josh,
I have used a blower for years. It is just one step in the process and gets off the vast majority of the water before it spots. It is heated as well which aids in the drying process. I then go back over the vehicle with Adam's Detail Spray to pH balance and remove any drips.

Here is the blower I use. A bit pricey but has been stable. I also use it to blow off the interior.

Used to use the back pack blower, plenty of power, but a pain to maneuver. Got a battery blower from Menards. Works great for all the vehicles and deck. Wife even uses it on her car.

I use my leaf blower on my motorcycles, it works well. If you already have one I'd encourage you to try it, it's definitely going to have more power than those little things.

Gas? I had always heard they spit oil on to cars.

Alvin I admire your attention to detail, I could never clean a vehicle like you do.
