We are going to see about a 50 degree Fahrenheit swing in temps overnight in SW Ohio. Currently 46 and going down to -4 by morning with the wind chill factor at around -25.
Glad I spent around a whole $100 for the block heater option. Even if it were to start fine in the morning without a block heater, it's nice to know that the turbochargers will see (relatively speaking) free flowing warm oil at start up.

Stay warm and safe all.

Man, you people are Neanderthals. A block heater? Really? I got a embroidered heated bronco blanket for mine, double quilted with the wind proof lining.

Ditto! Glad I ordered it, even though we don’t usually get that cold in Albuquerque, we might not always stay here.

Based on your forum documented modification activity I certainly do not doubt it! Pictures please

For the past 3 nights at -30 and below the 2.3 has started with no hesitation. I wish I had installed the Block heater option, but I did not. I am impressed how the Truck handled the cold starts. This weekend the temps are back in the 40s, this is welcomed "heat" here in MT lol

It was -13 today. Thankfully I have a heated garage

I have the $300 in parts…bummed I haven’t installed it yet before this weekend. I really dropped the ball all summer. It will come in handy with the 7MT…one day.
