Want to swap the 17x7.5 steelies with the everglades wheels that are 17x8.5 as use the same OEM tire. The general grabber at/x . Will the same tire properly fit on an inch wider wheel? Any help would be appreciated. Thankd!

Not sure why but General doesn't specify a minimum/maximum rim width on their specs pages. I would suspect you're fine with an 8.5 inch rim. Wildpeaks in that size recommend 7-8.5 inch rim

Tires should fit fine. should fit up to 9 inch wide wheel

Thanks for the feedback. Newbie here. Just not a fan of the steelies. Since the tires are new don't want to swap them. Also wanted to stick with an OEM wheel. Either the eveglades or the ranger raptor wheels and they are both 17x8.5

You will be fine the BD 265/70-17 will go right on the 8.5” wheels with no issues. It should look great!
