black beauty ring bead lock capable wheels

are these rims beadlock rims or not?..... 17” Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum with Black Beauty Ring Beadlock Capable Wheels ....i like the look of these rims, but i dont want beadlock rims....

Sal, welcome to the forum. No they are not beadlock wheels. I call them faux beadlocks. If one wants true beadlock rings, Ford is happy to sell them to you for $800 - $900.

edit - the reason they’re called beadlock capable is that if you remove the trim ring, the wheel itself has a series of drilled holes inbetween the holes holding the trim ring on.

thanks....so i can remove and install a tire on these rims without removing that trim ring, treat it like any other rim....

That’s correct. Although folks here have reported poorly trained tire techs thinking they had to take the ring off.

I scratch the rings up every trip to Moab. After returning home, I remove, sand, and repaint them.

I powder-coated mine carbonized grey, so I took mine off before tire installation for peace of mind. After my tire install I set my air pressure at home, my spare was about 70psi ...
