Looking to replace the rear and dash speakers on the base stereo on my Bronco. Looking for the BEST direct replacement speakers and willing to pay up to $200 or so per set.

Not looking to add an amp, subs, or anything like that. Just wanting the best speakers that will get loud and still sound great.

Plan is to go through crutchfields Black Friday deals tomorrow.

Thanks!

I used the 4" Kicker KS series to replace all 4 of the dash and rear pods and the Kicker 6 3/4' KS series for the kick panels from Crutchfield. Definitely a difference in quality, volume and clarity of sound, but they do not improve the lack of bass--going to need to add a powered sub. I regret not adding the sub while i had all the trim panels off when doing the kick panels, but the panels come off and go in easily, shouldn't be an issue when I get around to adding the sub and/or Kicker Key amp.

No help here yet - just starting this journey too. Ordered a pair of Infinity Reference from Crutchfield for the back to see how it goes. Half price right now. I also turned treble all the way down, midrange about 80% down, and turned bass all the way up. Drastic but it stopped the noise from the stock stereo from making my teeth hurt 😂

I'm going with focal acx (i believe that the model) series. Very clear, same as the Polks. I couldn't even tell a difference myself. Just alittle more pricey than the polks at just over $100 a set and less power hungry than the kicker KS series. I had polks for all my small speakers for 20 years, but figured id try these out. I didnt like kicker "hallwayness" and less crisp sound from all of their series.

My thoughts were either the Focal ACX 100 or Infinity Reference REF-4032cfx and adding the JBL Bass Pro Go to get a little extra bass without having to install an amp.

Grom what I’ve seen online so far it seems the Focal are the better speaker.

Also, are bass blockers necessary in the front?

I did a pretty basic upgrade. I replaced all my 4 inch speaks with Powerbass 2xl

https://powerbassusa.com/us/en/products/mobile-audio/2xl-403-4-full-range/

These are 3 Ohm, so I think you get a bit more power from the head unit.

Kick panel speakers are stock.

I did add a down-firing 12 inch subwoofer ( JL Audio 12T3-D8 powered by Powerbass XL-2305MX).

So far, I am happy with the results.
