B/O woofer cracked housing

Apparently there was a vibrating sound from my woofer. Dealership wanted to let me go by saying it’s high bass. And the quarter panel was vibrating. Told them to open and see if there was anything loose, lo and behold it’s a cracked housing where the screws attach to the frame. Anyone have this issue?

Woofer main bolt. Cracked both sides. All plastic plugs snapped and woofer basically hanging off. Split right through the metal.

Unfortunately I got my bronco back with no fix to the buzzing that is being caused when music is played at 65 decibels. Was at Sheehy ford (where I ordered it from) for two whole weeks. This was my third time taking it back. They contacted Ford engineering to no avail. I will post the communication the dealership had with Ford HQ at a later date. Ford claims to know of this problem but does not have a fix for it.
hopefully they get it done before summer.

Huh.

Gotta say I can’t imagine a bass level high enough to crack that steel mount point (I think that panel is steel and not aluminum but I can’t recall offhand). The speed nut looks fine too. Has to just be a bad panel?

Seems like they could just pop the speed nut out, touch up the panel with a patch weld and drop a rivet nut or something back in. Yeah it’s painted but it’s underneath trim and behind the sub, so just some rattle can to keep it from oxidizing.

That said under warranty they would probably want to replace the entire panel.
