Will it be on the 7spd manual? If so, how would that work?
From what i remember driving in Europe last year was when you've come to a stop and your foot is on the clutch it will turn off. once you start lifting off the clutch it turns on. Pretty instant, didn't have any issues with it. i know a lot of people hate it. i don't mind it. doesn't slow me down or cause me to accelerate awkwardly.

and yes, the bronco will have it. theres a button on the centre console above the climate control buttons. in between the camera button and parking sensor button.

Anybody have a Ranger or F150 with the auto stop start BS? Can you completely disable it? Do you have to disable it everytime you get in the truck? Im sure it will be a feature on the Bronco and I despise it.

Thanks for merging. Didnt see the other thread

I have it in F150 Raptor. At first I hated it, but now I don't mind it at all. For my tune, I left it enabled even though I could have permanently disabled it. The restart is very fast, and the dash button is simple if you want it temporarily disabled for any reason. You can also just turn the steering wheel slightly and it will immediately restart (feature of electric steering assist).

I am pretty sure that the engine start/stop is disabled in offroad modes.

Well, definitely getting rid of A.S.S. ASAP, even if I have to pull a fuse

Sort of off topic... Do any of you have a newer ('18+) Ford and if so, does it or any other newer Ford have brake hold? I have it in my GLC 63. Basically, when you come to a stop, say at a light, you perform an additional tap on the brake and it will allow you to remove your foot from the brake pedal & 'hold' the car in place until you press the accelerator. Let me tell you, living in Los Angeles traffic, that feature is a godsend for someone that has messed up knees from years of doing super stunts when i was a kid.

This Doesn’t make sense, who leaves the clutch depressed when coming to a stop?

When they teach you to drive (in Europe at least) and on motorcycles, they tell you to keep the clutch in and in 1st so you can make a quick get away if there is an emergency (avoid accident, etc).

i think the auto start stop will keep the car off if you come to a stop and put it in neutral and release the clutch. can't remember if the brake needs to be pressed or not in that situation.

Porsche has it on their 7 speed manual. When you come to a stop in neutral and clutch released, it shuts off. The engine starts right when you start to push the clutch in. It actually works pretty good since the engine is ready to go right as you start to release the clutch.

As an aside, as someone who doesn’t hate ASS:

The starters are WAY beefed up on ASS equipped vehicles. If you search the F-150 forums there are zero reports of people needing to replace a starter in a 2015+ F-150. That’s unheard of. And cool for someone who likes durability.

The only vehicle I've ever driven was a ,manual Peugot in France with auto-start-stop. I can't recall how and when it shut off but I remember it being pretty non-intrusive after the first couple of times.

Ford calls it auto hold, no clue if it will be on bronco. I suspect not, as I think its an extension of electronic parking brake. Dont quote me on that though.
Thank you!

My 2018 Wrangler has it with the manual. At a stop with the clutch released it'll shut down, push in the clutch and it starts. There's also the disable button on the dash as mentioned, I just leave the clutch depressed at stops and it stays running.
