So I need to get my hardtop into my house. I don’t have the bronco handy so can’t measure the height of the top to see if it will fit through the door to the storage location. Can anyone help with a measurement on the height?

I measured 74" for my Badlands. Ford says 73.9. I have 33" tires. You have 32". Ford says the Big Bend (32" tires) is 72.9 inches tall.

Thanks. I was looking for the height of just the hardtop though not the whole car :)

Are you doing it in sections? That would be easier.

Rear section is 22" tall, 41" long. I suggest storing it with the window closed. Also you'll have to have it on 2x4s to protect the rear window gasket.

Thanks! I have a 2-door so only 1 section minus the panels up front. Sounds like 22 inches is the answer.

Now you have me confused more though lol

I didn’t even know those windows on the back or side of the hard top opened. Do they!????

Secondly I guess I’d planned to store the top on its back or upright. What’s the preferred way to store?

The window above the tailgate opens. I'd store it in the same position that it's mounted on the Bronco. Gravity.

The 2-door rear sections are longer than the 4-door rear sections.

Thanks. Clearly I should have thought this through before ordering a Sotftop and to take off the hard top :)

Thinking. I haven't really looked at mine, but maybe you could store it on end with the rear window on top. That would save some room. Just make sure you don't damage any weather stripping.

If I get a 4x4 and cut it so it sits between the locating pins wonder if it would be able to support on that lip of the top. Therefore it would be stored in the same position as it sits on the truck and also wouldn’t damage the headliner…

I took mine off to install the Trail Rax Pax Rax. I put it on some wood 2x4, 4x4, don't remember. I think the bottom is flat other than the locating pins. You could drill holes for the locating pins if you wanted to be anal. :)

So yours rests on the 4x4 without issues? Could you show a photo? :)

Sorry, it's back on the truck. But there were no problems. Just thick enough wood so you can close the rear window. You could imitate the sides of your Bronco, but would need to drill holes for the locating pins. I didn't worry too much because it was only an hour or so. I'm sure someone on here has pictures of how they've stored their top.

Thanks. I think what I’m gonna do is build a small rig. Two 4x4 rails with holes drilled for the locating pins brace the 4x4 suppport rails between 2x4 cross braces, add casters to the bottom and set the top on this apparatus. Therefore no damage to the head liner and much cheaper than the $500 cart
