Having to deal with loading ice all the time seems like a PITA. Then you got a bucket of water sloshing around when it melts. That said It might be worth it if it actually works and it circulates ice water instead of ambient air like regular cooled seats.
You can always just return it if it doesn't work, I say give it a shot and report back.

Thinking about it. Sitting in 90 minutes of rush hour traffic on the freeway at 5pm everday in the Tx summer can be brutal at times. This looks like it might be nice.
That’s tempting. I long for cooled seats and this is a far less expensive alternative. Certainly a bit more hassle and not as sleek but a good idea for sure.
