i believe the specific term in the lease agreement for what equates to interest is Money Factor. My guess is that "interest" had people confused when they weren't purchasing the car with a loan.

I am currently leasing mine. Will trade it in for a special edition or Raptor version in 2 years. Was the original plan, but I am loving what I currently have now, so plans might change.

I did not lease thru FMCC, rather thru Directions CU. The rate and residual where better. Saved me $85/m from what FMCC was

My dealer said residual for BB 4dr is 71% and MF is .00013, which is about 3%

48m - 61% residual. dont know the rate excatly but its under 4%

I believe the residual from Directions was like 63% @48m. My payments are about $500/m That includes a warranty extended out for the entire lease.

Fords residual at 48M was a couple points lower. and rates were higher.

He said about 320/mo + tax for 39 months. Sounds tempting but I'll probably just shell out the larger finance payments.

So it's paying depreciation at 320 a month for the same interest as a standard loan. You could always setup the buyout if you want to keep it. I have to put down 25k to get my payment around 450 for a loan taking the chance that I will keep and value will remain
