After some hemming and hawing I went with the Draw-tite extended hitch, placed it in the spot, and , and I just don't think I can do that hitch after all. It sticks out too far and looks awkward.
So the question is, what sort of trailer is actually going to have trouble with the tongue clearing the spare tire? I can't see my utility trailer fouling on the tire, seems that most small campers will clear the propane tanks, and OK, I might not be able to open the back door. It's a 2 door, if stuff fit tback there I wouldn't need the trailer.
I'm thinking I will send the draw-tite back and get a Curt.

SO-now as it turns out Amazon won't take this back for free, I would have to pay the postage and when they get it back they apparently decide if I get a full, partial or no refund. I guess I'm not oerdering from Amazon any more.
