The wheels with paint are actually the defective ones. The area under the ring isn't supposed to be painted. I've seen countless sets of ford beadlocks wheels with the rings removed including the two sets I own and have never seen the whole thin painted.

If that area was powder coated like the rest of the wheel the real beadlock rings would not fit properly.

Then I should be worried about the other 4 wheels that are powdercoated? All the other wheels are like the passenger side rear wheel in picture

Ideally you will want a bare mating surface. Since the beadlock capable trim rings on sasquatch are decorative and in no way functional as actual beadlock it doesn't matter.

However, if you were to spend the $800 and get actual beadlock rings and use the wheels as intended then prepping the surface down to bare metal would be necessary/best-practices.
